Friday Night I went to a Lady Antebellum, Sam Hunt and Hunter Hayes concert in my city. I always love a good country concert, because of the lively and American atmosphere that they have. To me, country concerts are one of the most “American” activities there is. Theres just something about curled hair, sundresses, hats, cut-off jean shorts, cowgirl boots, and tailgating that screams U.S.A. For my country girl look I decided to wear this paisley printed, black and white dress from Brandy Melville. I wore my cowgirl boots (of course) that I bought from Boot Barn. For the night time I brought my light wash distressed denim jacket, which I think always adds an extra country feel.

For my hair I used a 1 1/2″ curling iron, to achieve tight waves in my hair. I love how curls bring out the balayage highlights in my hair. I sprayed a few puffs of Batiste dry shampoo in my roots to give it instant body, and also to protect against greasy hair after hours of dancing to some good ol’ country music! Overall I really love how curls bring together an outfit, especially a country outfit, I mean after all, you can’t go to a country concert without big hair!

For makeup, I used my Loreal Infallible Pro-Matte foundation in 105 on my face, with the coordinating powder to set it. For under eye concealer I used Loreal Instant Age Rewind Dark Circles Eraser in Light. I used MAC Give Me Sun! to bronze my face and give it a sun kissed glow. And for my cheeks I used a Plum colored blush from Inglot, and Two Faced Pink Leapord to highlight my cheek bones. To define my eyebrows I used NYX Tame & Frame in Espresso, and NYX Control Freak clear brow gel to set them. I used my Naked Palettes (1 and 2) to create a smokey outer corner, with a shimmery inner corner highlight. I created a soft eyeliner effect by using black shadow and smudging it along my lash line. I added Ardel Demi Whispie Lashes for a more dramatic look. On my lips I’m wearing Maybelline 275 Crazy for Coffee, which is a beautiful chocolate berry color.

For accessories I just put on a gold Alex and Ani bracelet, a leather wrap bracelet, and a wooden bead bracelet, and of course, my classic “Love” Tiffany and Co. ring which was gifted to me from my boyfriend. Thanks Tanner, love you boo! The concert was incredible and I got to see a lot of friends from high school which was fun and even a friend from college! It was a great night to be an American!
